Peptide Pools for Targeted Proteomics

Targeted proteomics enables targeted analysis of specific peptides in complex samples, which can determine the presence or absence of a peptide or protein in the sample (provided that the signal is higher than the detection limit), and quantify the peptides or proteins in different samples for expression difference comparison. Targeted proteomics can be seen as a new generation of mass spectrometry-based Western Blot technology, but it is more accurate than traditional WB method and does not require antibodies. In general, scientists perform analysis based on Orbitrap mass spectrometry.

The collection target of this method is the peptide obtained by enzymatic digestion of the target protein, so it is important to select the target peptide and the appropriate collection approach.
