Veterinary Focused Screening Library

Veterinary drugs are an important component of animal husbandry and modern food production, and they are essential to maintain the health and productivity of agricultural and animals. Residues enable to present potential food safety risks if they are allowed to enter the food chain. In addition, proper use of veterinary drugs and antibiotics can prevent acute food poisoning events. Veterinary drugs such as antibiotics, antimicrobials, antihistamines, antiprotozoals and hormones are modern necessities for treatment and prevention in animal rearing.

BOC Sciences has created a series of high-quality libraries of small veterinary focused compounds to produce potential novel veterinary antiparasitic drugs.

Veterinary Focused Screening Library Design

BOC Sciences is committed to designing a veterinary-focused library of 238 small-molecule screening compounds

  1. Firstly, we apply a reference collection, which includes compounds with full structural analogs or similar compounds to veterinary drugs
  2. Then, a 2D similarity search is performed against the BOC Sciences HTS compound collection, which is developed based on the fingerprint method and a Tanimoto index > 0.75
  3. For each compound, the similarity information (similarity values and corresponding reference compounds from commercial databases) is comprehensively indicated

Veterinary Focused Screening Library Characteristics

  • A great number of small molecules that target G protein-coupled receptors for both high-throughput and high-content screening are provided
  • All small molecules in the Veterinary Focused screening library are biologically and pharmaceutically active
  • The library contains receptor-related small molecules, including 5-HT receptors, dopamine receptors, opioid receptors, adrenergic receptors, cannabinoid receptors, mGluR, and ETA-receptors, among others
  • No PAINS or toxic substances/unwanted functions: filtered by strict ‘Ro5-like’ physicochemical and most stringent in-house structural filters
  • Valuable tool for finding the most promising Veterinary Focused drugs
  • Bioactivity and safety confirmed by preclinical studies and clinical trials
  • Structural diversity, medicinal activity, and cellular penetration
  • Structural document, IC50, and other chemical and biological data are provided
  • All compounds are continually updated
  • Compound cherry-picking service is provided

What We Deliver

  • Delivered within 2 weeks in any customer-preferred format
  • Powders, dry films or DMSO solutions formatted in vials, 96 or 384-well plates
  • All compounds have a minimum purity of 90% assessed by 1H NMR and HPLC
  • Analytical data is provided
